I took my girlfriend here for our first weekend away together: the food was great, the waiter made great suggestions for drinks to go with our meals and the ambience was what we were looking for. Low key casual and not over the top.

This is a must stop to help fuel you belly (and heal it from alcohol) before a big day on the mountain or to get yourself well after a long night of après. The staff was super friendly and had great suggestions that ensured everyone left feel happy, full, and ready to tackle the day. Highly recommend mixing the sausage and mushroom gravies and starting the meal with an Irish coffee. The atmosphere is exactly what you want in a snowy mountain town and it makes you feel like life has slowed down so you can just take in the rustic charm.

We joined the waitlist through Yelp, and the entire process was incredibly smooth. Upon entering, there was an iPad available to confirm our arrival. We had a short wait, but it wasn't too long. Our server was nice enough but not overly nice- you knew he wanted to turn tables. Our food came out pretty quickly. All was great- except for my daughter's toast- it was overcooked and hard. I had the eggs Benedict, which on the biscuit just melted in your mouth. The home fries with cheddar were good too. Decaf coffee wasn't so great. My daughter had the fruit bowl- I ended up eating it and that granola was legit! It was a small place book the food was so good. We will be back in the future!

This was a great breakfast. I got the eggs, maple sausage and home fries platter with a biscuit. Biscuits are home made mine was huge super soft on the inside and very crunchy on the outside. That home made sausage was really good. My eggs came out hard and I asked for over easy eggs and within 2 minutes they had new eggs for me. My friend had the French toast with bacon which she says was excellent. We ordered a small order of the biscuit French toast. I wasn't crazy about this and wish I would have tried the cheddar jalepeno pancake instead. I got up early and put. Shelf on the yelp wait list for 8:30am. I got there and was seated around 9:15am. I would come back!

Join their waitlist in advance otherwise you'll be there for ever. Sat at the bar and the bartenders service was ok. Not exactly on top of topping off your coffee but certainly very polite and friendly. Get the jalapeño pancakes if you like the heat.

For brunch I joined some friends at Butler's Pantry. They knew in advance to get on the Yelp wait-list as soon it opened at 815. Still, the party of 4 had an estimated table availability of 930. Given the deluge of patrons, I expected service to be slower than what I would expect, so I brought some patience while ordering. I got coffee ($3), biscuits & gravy ($17), and a side of maple sausage ($5). Food arrived after 30 minutes. The biscuits and gravy did not skimp on gravy. I debated getting home fries to help lap some of it up. Thankfully, the biscuits had more height than I expected, as they were half submerged in gravy. The gravy proved sweet and mild. The biscuit's toasted texture provided well-needed contrast. The maple sausage practically oozed maple syrup. It did not prove overly sweet, as it sausage had much more sharp herbs than what a normal sausage patty would have. It made for bold, contrasting flavors. The sausage also tasted fresh. The wait proved well-worth.

I can see why this place is the talk of the town. Them hash brown were simply amazing!!!!! The homemade biscuits and the pancakes are insanely thick. The French toast is no joke, they're just as thick, too. Quality food across the board and amazing service. Don't forget to check this place out.

O M G!!! I loved this restaurant!! The pancakes and maple sausage are so worth the wait. I got smart and put us on the waitlist at about 8 am. There was already a 2 hour wait at that point which gave us time to get ready, park and peruse the shops. We sat at the bar which seemed to be the place we ended up sitting to eat all weekend in Stowe. I loved the old bar style - rich dark wood, thick countertops, quaint restaurant. Our waiter / bartender was very friendly, funny and gave great recommendations for food. While I had the pancakes, he chose the biscuits and gravy which is pretty hard to find for breakfast in Stowe. All the food was exceptional!
